How does Custom pricing work?

Custom plans are tailored to your needs. Pricing scales based on usage, data requirements, rate limits, and support level. Custom plans can include dedicated Slack support, integration assistance, roadmap input, and early access to new features.

What's the difference between real-time and daily data?

- Daily delivers cached data that is refreshed once a day. Exact timing may vary by broker.

What data plans are available on Pay as you Go?

Pay as you Go comes in two versions: Real-time - $2 per connected user / month, includes trading Daily data - $1 per connected user / month, with optional read-only with manual sync ($0.05 per sync) No contract required on either.

Is trading included in all plans?

Accepted Answer

Trading is available on all real-time plans, including Starter and Pay as you Go Real-time where supported by the broker. See our Broker Access Guide for more information.

What is manual sync?

Accepted Answer

Manual sync is optional and lets you trigger a data refresh on demand for daily data users, rather than waiting for the next scheduled update. Each manual sync costs $0.05. If you find yourself syncing frequently, a real-time plan may be more cost-effective.

What is a connection?

Accepted Answer

A connection is a link between one of your end-users and one of their brokerage accounts. A single user can have multiple connections (e.g. a Fidelity account and a Schwab account).

What is a “connected user”?

Accepted Answer

One end-user who has linked at least one brokerage account. If a single user connects multiple brokerages, they still count as one connected user.

What is the rate limit?

Accepted Answer

The SnapTrade API uses a number of safety mechanisms to protect against bursts of incoming traffic and help maximize its stability. Every SnapTrade client is ratelimited to 250 requests per minute by default.

Will I be billed multiple times for one user with multiple brokerage connections?

No. Billing is per connected user, not per connection. A user with three brokerage connections counts as one connected user.

How does billing work?

Accepted Answer

Invoices are usage-based and correspond to the prior month. You're billed for any user who successfully connected a brokerage account at any point during the billing period. Failed connections are not billed. Connections that were made and later disabled are still billed - we keep them so your users can reconnect without starting over and/or in case you want to serve that data up. We recommend implementing a reconnect flow for disabled connections and a cleanup task to delete any stale users or connections before the end of the month. Do I pay extra for specific brokerages?

No. Access to all supported brokerages is included on every plan with the exception of Tradier who charges a one-time fee of $500 to access their API, however this is optional as you don’t need to launch with this brokerage.

How quickly can I go live with a broker?

Accepted Answer

Most brokers are approved within a few days - some like Fidelity in as little as a day. For Alpaca, Tradier, Schwab (trading), and TradeStation, bring your own API key and you're ready immediately. See the Broker Access Guide for more details →
